Headquarters

The Agbar Group, in its 140 years of history, has always known how to adapt itself to the times. Our new headquarters, the Agbar Tower, respond to the need to organise our assets after the continuous process of growth and diversification the Group has experienced in the last few years, whilst achieving the objective of consolidating the headquarters of our Group in the city of Barcelona.

In the words of our Chairman, Jordi Mercader:

"We change of building, but the content is the same. The external effect is important, even the architectural decoration produces a singular change, which also means not only that we will change but we have already changed, for the necessary adaptation to the circumstances surrounding us. But the essential thing of the business culture, of the characteristics of our company, the way of being, the way of thinking, the objectives and the corporate definition of our organisation remain the same".

The Agbar Tower is a singular and unique building -both for its conceptual design and the integration of the sustainability values of bioclimatic architecture- which aims to highlight the company’s vocation of vanguard and its identification with the city where it started its activities.

Before the Agbar Tower, the Group had its headquarters for more than 85 years in the Palacete del Marqués de Santa Isabel.
