Agbar's recurrent net profit increases by 17% in relation to the previous year and amounts to 134.8 million euros
The recurrent net profit attributable to Agbar in the first nine months of the financial year 2008 increased by 17% in relation to the same period of the previous year and amounts to 134.8 million euros. The net profit attributable to the parent amounts to 202.3 million euros, 32% above the profit obtained in the same period of the previous financial year, which was 153 million euros.

Agbar makes a profit of 147.7 million euros for the first half-year of 2008
• The recurrent net profit attributable to Agbar increases by 18.9%
• The sale of its holding in Suez, S.A. has provided a net capital gain of 81 million euros
During the first half-year of 2008, Agbar has obtained net profits attributed to the controlling company of 147.7 million euros. The recurrent net profit is 81.6 million euros - 18.9% up on the same period for 2007. The sale of the holding in Suez, S.A. resulted in a net capital gain of 81 million euros.

The Agbar Group obtains a 37.9 million euro net profit in the first quarter of 2008
• The income for the period increases by 9.7% in relation to the previous year.

The Board of Directors of Sociedad General de Aguas de Barcelona, SA, meeting yesterday afternoon, issued a favourable opinion in relation to the takeover bid for the company’s capital, presented by HISUSA, Holding de Infraestructuras y Servicios Urbanos, S.A., Suez Environnement, S.A., Suez Environnement España, S.L.U. and Criteria CaixaCorp, S.A. The Board considers that the bid presented is positive for the Company and its shareholders.
